I am a Special Education Teacher for 20 years in New York City. I developed Freedom To Be behavior curriculum as an extension of my personal core values honesty, integrity, excellence, creativity, respect and diversity; each of which are present throughout the materials, workshops and application of Freedom to Be in the classroom.
Freedom to Be (which I now call Learning Styles Freedom) is a tool for teachers to help students maximize their learning in a positive structured, welcoming environment with high expectations for the students. It is not just a way to "control" a classroom, but a path to help teachers gain tools and techniques that will assist them in injecting excitement into their learning environments. It is designed that teachers are equipped to help each student learn, receive the information presented while allowing everyone to learn in innovative ways.
This workshop will provide you with tools and techniques, while challenging your existing knowledge, provide a new knowledge base, and present ways to further engage students in their educational process. Each exercise has been created with the need to infuse respect from students to teachers and teachers to students, foster understanding, model integrity, and promote a working relationship which establishes the classroom as a place where everyone has the Freedom to Be.

My Target Audience are School Districts and Private Schools that are looking for a training program for first year teachers and workshop for staff development with on going coaching. It is also General Education and Special Education teachers.
My target audience can be any teacher who is eager to help create success for his/her students. Learning Style Freedom will help teachers to look beyond what seems to be the lack of motivation; and find a way to reach each student. With Learning Styles Freedom, each student can experience some measure of success in academia.
Some educators are frustrated because they believe students don't want to learn. The truth is some students don't know how to turn on their learning process. Students have different learning styles and the old way of chalk and talk is no longer effective in the classroom. We must find different ways to engage the students and Learning Styles Freedom is on of these ways. When the student's learning style is engaged, he grasp concept much faster and retain the information for a longer period of time. As a result, a higher percentage of success is attained per classroom.
