FoodCALC is an online, B2B nutrition analysis company based in San Francisco. Our web-based products provide the food industry with affordable, easy-to-use tools to obtain nutrition analysis.
We are a young, technology-driven company who is fun, fresh, but also sophisticated and tech-savvy.
FoodCALC is changing the way nutrition analysis is obtained. Traditionally restaurants would use laboratories or consultants, so we are truly a cutting-edge concept for the restaurant and foodservice industry.
This ad will be running in restaurant trade and association publications. Our primary audience is restaurant operators and managers, an existing market, but they are new to technology products and are often an older audience. We are constantly trying to find ways to communicate a fresh, new concept to them.
Restaurants are providing nutrition for one of two reasons: to comply with menu labeling legislation, or as a competitive advantage to market to their customers. We want this ad to appeal to both audiences. The underlying message to the audience is basically: your customers want nutrition information, so give it to them.
UPDATED: Please see the attached sample ad to get an idea of our vision. We like fresh, clean looks with bold visual elements.
The purpose of the ad is to grab attention with one strong visual element and some clever, catchy wording. The goal is to present a "call to action" to sign up for a free trial on our website, without being too sales-oriented.
Ideas from the team for a visual have included a nutrition label, a great-looking food item broken down by calorie counts, etc. Something catchy and attractive to the eye.
We are looking for a pair of full-page ads to use in rotation. They can compliment each other or be vastly different, whatever you want to present. It would be a full page ad, 16.5” W x 10” H, Flash or .pdf files are preferred, jpeg or gif files are accepted.
We need to submit the ad no later than Wednesday, March 16.
