The book is entitled "How to Do Systems Analysis". It is a textbook for undergraduate and graduate level engineering and business school students.
Rather than delving into the formal processes of systems engineering, this book emphasizes the underlying systems analysis component and associated thought processes. While it is (at its core) a reference text, it incorporates a number of case studies (of varying complexity) with the intent to help individuals learn how to analyze and solve large-scale problems.
The first edition had a design with which we are not completely happy. There are a number of interlinked steps in the analysis process, one of the most important of which is "to iterate" (hence, the circular flow diagram on the first cover).
We would like to have a cover, the design of which would be carried through to the header of the internal case studies, that might elucidate the concepts of the text, and illustrate the principles included therein.
