Hello everyone! I live in Massachusetts south of Boston and am starting a home improvement company. I plan on serving all of Massachusetts (New England) and will work primarily with homeowners (90%) and some light "commercial" work such as condo complexes (10%).
My bread and butter will be offering Roofing, Siding, Windows & Doors, Gutters, Insulation, Decks, Painting & Pressure Washing and general contracting services. In the winter time I may also offer snow plowing services for the South Shore areas only. TBD.
A little bit about myself that I think sets me apart from the rest based on my experiences. I am upfront, open and honest with people. I call it like I see it and don't bullshit people. I'm a genuine person and connect well. Another huge piece is that I'm super responsive, not only in getting back to people, but also in getting jobs done. I'm also a perfectionist and believe in doing it right the first time. My word truly is my bond and if I say I will do something I will. One last piece that I want to highlight somehow is that my background is environmental science so I want this to be a GREEN company! I will use energy efficient materials and recycle the waste from jobs whenever possible so I want to highlight this somehow.
I have some basic ideas that I would like to stick with, but there is still plenty of room for your creativity.
1. I love this country and am very patriotic so I would like to stick with Red, White and Blue colors.
2. I already have an idea as to how I would like my name to look online and for all of my print. I found a few photos (attached) that I would like to probably base my logo around. In the attached file called "logo" you will see it says BEANTOWN TAVERN. I very much like the way the BEANTOWN is arched and the colors and font style used - very Boston Red Sox like. I could see my logo looking the same with the words Home Improvements where the Tavern word is in an alternate color like Blue. I'd like to see options here maybe with the colors swapped etc.
3. The "entering beantown" photo sparked a few ideas maybe for just the logo for a website or maybe for a t-shirt I'm not sure. While I don't care for the actual bean, the "sign" piece I think is cool and maybe something could be done with it, maybe not. Up to you,!
While I really do like my idea of the text, I am VERY open to fresh ideas that look crisp and create a unique brand that I can stand behind. I can't wait to see what you all come up with.
Here is my company's mission statement if this helps in any way:
Beantown Home Improvements is a family owned and operated business built around "old school" values serving the New England area. In today's day and age where quality, craftsmanship and simple honesty can be tough, if not impossible to find, you need not look any further.
With our simple no BS approach, our objective is to be up front and honest with every client, earn your respect, and offer customer service that is second to no one! We’re not sales people and no one likes to be sold. Our goal as home improvement experts is to inform you on the products we offer and how we can be of service, so that you can make an educated decision that you can live with and we can stand behind.
Our word truly is our bond and we are committed to improving the quality, comfort and value of your home, while reducing the overall impact on the environment. It is our mission to offer only the highest quality, most energy efficient products and services on the market that we ourselves use in our own homes. Additionally we focus on the greening of our business by utilizing technology to reduce print and paper materials, reduce waste by partnering with environmentally conscientious manufacturers, and recycle as much construction debris as possible. Let’s all do our part and preserve our way of life for our children.
