Each year, 108 billion pounds of food is wasted in the world which equates to more than $408 billion in food thrown away each year. HungerStrike was created in 2021 as a repository for food manufactures to donate mislabeled, short dated or blemished non-perishable food products that is still safe to consume. This food is then shipped to communities worldwide that have been impacted by conflict, climate variability and extremes, economic slowdowns and downturns. HungerStrike most recently shipped over 40,000 lbs. of consumable non-perishable food to Ukraine. We are building HungerStrike into a 501 3 c charitable organization with a vision to expand to over one million pounds of food by the end of the year.
