App icon needed for fun education app

All Ears English

We are a fun and cool education company for adult international English learners. Our brand is fresh, positive, and energetic.

For this project we need an app icon design. Our app will play our podcast and will also provide quizzes and other in-app purchases.

The goal of the app will be to get users addicted to listen to our short daily episodes, 15 minutes each, then to buy quizzes and other supporting materials to test their listening skills in English.

A simple but fresh-looking icon for our new app. It should use the same color palette as the app screens- see attached. Yellow should be used as a key color to make the app stand out. please be sure you are using the same RGB codes as the attached screen designs.
We are also open to incorporating one new color in the icon design if it really works.

We are open to your creative ideas but it should be simple and easy to read on a screen, not too crowded but something that will stand out from other app icons. Please check out our podcast, listen to an episode to get a sense of our style and check out our design elements on our side at allearsenglish.com and come up with a simple design that is in line with our brand.

This icon has to look good at all of the sizes that I list below.

ideas (not requirements)
- initials AEE in our special font, see font used for episode number on episode list screen attached
-use our logo at the top of our website of the Statue of Liberty with headphones and use just the head part emphasizing the headphones for listening because that's the core piece of the app (see allearsenglish.com)
- make a simple drawing of a head that is smiling with headphones on it and use our brand colors strategically to make it look sleek and fun
-use an icon related to speaking
-our slogan is Connection NOT Perfection so find a way to symbolize that value regarding communication
- create a new unique shape or element that scales well and symbolizes connection between people or that looks cool and will look clean across all sizes

Looking for:
-simple- focus on ONE concept
-consistent with the design of the app- see slides attached
-scalable- needs to look amazing on all sizes and all app devices
- should be memorable, unique, interesting
