We need the main VECTOR ILLUSTRATION for a magazine article about “sustainable business”: what can a businessman do to make the world better?
WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:
A 640x297mm (3xA4) illustration showing this concept: "do something good NOW: start something small here, and big effects will happen there"
a single man pulling a small lever and setting a big, complex machine in motion; the effect of the machine is that in another part of the world (Africa or Asia) a river can flow and create new human/organic life. A sort of POSITIVE "butterfly effect".
!!! IMPORTANT !!!: Download the attached “TG31_Sustainability_sketch_1.jpg” to see the exact dimensions and a sketched example of the concept.
This is my personal idea, BUT feel free to imagine it in another way. The sequence MUST ALWAYS be as in the example above:
1. local action begins (eg: the man who pulls the lever on the big machine)
2. local consequence (eg: the big machine starts pouring water)
3. global consequence (eg: the water becomes a river full of life in Africa)
HOW TO DO IT:
Feel free to use pure vector illustration or a combination of photos/3D and illustration. A light, colorful and iconic style will be appreciated. See also the attached “Sustainability_inspiring_design.zip” to find some clues about what we found inspiring or useful from a stylistic point of view.
Cartoonish, funny style: remember: "sustainability" is a very important theme, and your design should be inspiring, not light!
