Short Summary: EnTo (translates to OneTwo). Application for math education. Children ages 6-8y primary user. And Teachers must be convinced by the brand. Be crazy. Help us stand out among the crowd.
The long version:
EdTech firm. Math education, both private and public schools. EnTo is the name of the application. Which translates to "OneTwo". You find our current webpage on ento.no. You may test the application upon request to us here.
EnTo is an application for math education. It represents a new way of addressing math education with more and deeper learning of the basics.
Our main users are teachers and children. Primarily children 6-8years. But the actual buyer and the ones we need to convince are parents and teachers. It would be great to have a brand that does not exclude older children since they will also use this up til around 14 years.
The goal of the project is to compete in a crowded space with other vendors. We need to stand out with a strong, simple and recognizable brand. We are a new, fresh company started with the goal to help teachers teach math. Math is everywhere, and math is also a big part of design and the design tradition. Patterns, geometry, fibonacci, golden rule etc. Let's not be boring! We do love the zebra that's been kind of our maskot the last couple of months, added to the image library here. We do realize that all of the assets added to this competition is not what we want to be. It is an example of where we are and why we need help 😁. We would love to see other color palettes and uses than what we have today.
Primarily we need a logo that will be used mostly digital. And a font and color palette that is possible to build upon, it should be an open and free font. Fonts from google fonts are an example. For the color palette we would like to see something with digital use in mind.
We will use this in our design and development of the application and the webpages and mail, and other channels. In the application we use material design and need to build upon this framework in an efficient way. Because we are in an early stage we need to make the most out of this before we do too much custom design in the application. We use vuetiy for 80-90% of the front-end https://vuetifyjs.com. The website is built upon squarespace and will be redone soon.
We do care about accessibility and universal design.
We would also love to have a touch of the "scandinavian design tradition" or whatever you would call it. With clean lines, simple and efficient design.
