GB Thompson and Associates, LLC
Highly experienced team with 20+ years each of multi-national banking experience who help small and midsized financial services companies (mostly banks) with strategic planning, accounting/finance and human resources projects. Our motto is "Authentic, Efficient, Effective." Focused on practical, real, immediate impact at a bargain price--not "overpriced fluff" lacking practical application.
Trust and respect are keys to success and sustainability in this business and to the client banks we serve, so these concepts are of primary importance in our logo.
Culture of the company is "professional", meaning a team of people who trust and respect each other and share a strong work ethic with the client's needs clearly in focus. "Fun-in-a-starched-shirt" type idea comes to mind when describing the team, professionalism without the robotic/arrogance that is sometimes attributed to consultants and bankers. This is really a good group of people who want to help companies be healther and serve their customers better
Target audience is CEOs and CFOs of existing small to medium sized banks. Our target audience are people who have significant responsibilities to shareholders and employees, are respected in their communities, and have significant obligations to regulatory authorities. Our target audience has to trust that we understand the complexity they face, we can be trusted, and we can help.
We need a logo that that reflects stability, trust, and seriousness about the business. We don't want a logo that reflects a silly or frivilous company. Our business cards and pitchbooks prominently display our motto of "Authentic, Efficient, Effective", so it would be preferrable if these concepts were part of the logo or concepts that come to mind when seeing the logo. Frankly, something bordering on boring may be ok, but we'd prefer to have some creativity applied that would help us to standout from other consultants or others in the banking business.
Subdued colors like brown/tan/darker blue/gray come to mind as preferrable, but open to ideas on that. Fewer colors seem to make more sense than more colors as we think about it.
Straight lines and pillars come to mind more than bubbles or circles. Images like a pen an paper (see attached sample business card) and a handshake pop up for us. Images that communicate listening, trusted advice, and professionalism are what we'd like to use.
We are financial people--accountants and strategists constantly focused on how to improve profits...that just how we are wired. Sounds boring to some, but we are the people you want to hire to make a company better for shareholders, customers, and employees. (Frankly, we think we are kinda fun.)
We need your help and ideas--Thanks! (Bus. Card sample attached.)
