Cancer Angels of San Diego
Cancer Angels of San Diego was established to address the financial needs of Stage IV cancer patients who are facing severe financial hardship. At Stage IV, the cancer has spread to several places in the body and requires ongoing treatment for life. The good news: people can live for years with Stage IV cancer due to the many advances of research. The bad news: the treatments necessary to keep them alive usually cause severe side effects such as nausea, weakness, terrible aches and pains, disabling fatigue….imagine trying to work in such a miserable physical state. These people can’t. Since they can no longer work, they are unable to pay for the basic necessities of life, including rent or mortgage payments, utilities, food, gas and car repairs, etc. The reality is, this could be you, me, or someone you love.

Our target markets are varied since so many people's lives are touched by cancer. We break it into these categories: Clients (Stage IV cancer patients & their families), Corporate Giving Officers, young professionals who are looking for a cause to champion, community philanthropists, and community leaders. These people are brand savvy and hip. Our logo needs to speak to them in a way that ignites the passion of our cause.
We have no religious affiliation and we are committed to building a brand that conveys that message. Since we help people with all types of cancer, we also need that our identity to remain "gender neutral". Simplicity is key. We want our target audience to see our logo and be moved to action. Our long term plan is to expand to national outreach. Our new identity will need to have the ability to grow with us.
