We are a small collective of (largely female) qualified specialist conservators. We restore historic buildings, statues and plasterwork using a combination of traditional skills and modern methods. Clients include the owners of private historic or listed buildings, architects, local authorities and bodies such as the National Trust and English Heritage.
We have chosen the owl to be the basis of our logo - ideally the design will incorporate the idea of a feature of architectural stone or similar but this is not essential, we just want to avoid looking like an animal or environmental conservation company. We would also like the name of the business - Claire Davies Conservation to be included in a simple and classic font.
We are young women competing in an industry which is largely dominated by older men. We would like to appeal to younger private clients with a fresh and non-corporate style logo, without putting off the old school!
We would like our logo to suggest expert professionalism, knowledge, traditional British folklore, quality and traditional craftsmanship, with simplicity and elegance.
The attached files show some ideas and designs that we like.
