Visual Thinking is a concept that has gained widespread acceptance in corporate training and planning. (For a quick overview of what visual thinking is all about, see http://www.slideshare.net/whatidisc…thinking.)
Schools have been slower to adopt graphic methods for teaching and learning.
We believe that K-12 can learn from corporate education. In particular, we hope to bridge this gap, and bring graphic facilitation and recording to American schools. To that end, we are producing a curriculum for teaching middle school students. We also work to build corporate-school partnerships. We are for profit, but we work closely with our non-profit sister organization.

Our primary audience is school administrators who are seeking to address the learning needs of students who are not well served by traditional teaching methods that are entirely text based.
We also need to reach visual thinking practitioners.
"The medium is the message." We can't really present ourselves as leaders in graphic education without some pretty cool graphics.
The design should be subtle, graceful, and understated.
On the other hand... While simplicity is the goal, it is possible to be too simple. Find the appropriate balance.
Here are some guidelines for what we think that we want, but keep in mind--you are the designer. If we knew exactly what this should be we could design it ourselves.
Euro Modern or Japanese are possible options
Cool colors are probably preferable to warm.
Like most logos, we need to be able to use this on a website, blog, letterhead, and business cards, so keep scalability in mind.
