The Maker-E
The Maker-E is part of a distributed network for MakerSpaces on the campus of Bucknell University. Our space will focus on making electronic circuits and projects. We will have the capability to design, fabricate, assemble, and test printed circuit boards.
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
We would like to have a minimalist line drawing of a chef/baker with outstretched arm holding a steaming tray of freshly baked printed circuit boards (PCB's)
- There should be emphasis on tray of PCB's
- The chef/baker should be sexless/raceless
- Overall look should be welcoming
We will have the image cut into a sheet of steel so the image will ideally be stencil-like so there are not a lot of loose pieces floating around.
The chef/baker idea comes from the name Maker-E (like a bakery, but for circuits). Background: PCB's are "baked" in reflow ovens when using surface mount components.
