Global to Local (G2L)
"Global to Local" is a groundbreaking new idea/initiative starting in Seattle, one of the hubs of world health.
And it's really simple - use the same energy and expertise we've been applying towards global health solutions here at home. Better yet, create a model that can be used in local communities around the world.
Think of the possibilities! Proactive ideas, holistic approaches to health that go well beyond the traditional definition - to include not only medical care and nutrition, but also a wide range of community services designed to ensure the welfare and success of individuals. This can range from mobile community care teams through to micro loans for businesses that sell fresh produce or contribute in other measurable ways to making a healthier community. The opportunities are endless!
And again, the goal is to create strategies that can be used and customized in any city, country or continent. Several of the largest players in the world health community are contributing their expertise to this effort.
Our logo and branding will be seen by a very wide spectrum - from individual community members looking to us for assistance - all the way to health organizations around the globe with whom we'll partner and share valuable information.
Because of this, it's critical to us that our look and message is easy to understand and not bogged down in intricate detail or design.
We'd like a clean logo design that feels forward-thinking but also very approachable.
The phrase we'd use to describe our look is "modern grassroots"- a very real, community feel that somehow also feels cutting edge.
**Also - we've already started referring to our Global to Local initiative as "G2L" which offers up some great direction for a logo. We would strongly suggest that you consider G2L as the basis for the logo. And perhaps the full name "Global to Local" becomes a tag line that can sometimes be used in conjunction with a G2L logo treatment.
This is not to say that you shouldn't submit good ideas that spell our name out in full as a logo treatment. If you are inspired to work the full text "Global to Local" into your main logo design please show us what you've got!
We've also thought about the "to" or "2" involving an arrow to join global and local, but is that too obvious? Same with a globe - an obvious idea, so be creative if you do include one.
We also like the softer/modern feel of lower case but realize that might not be possible for G2L.
One more thought on a tag line - if the design you are creating feels like it would work well in conjunction with some text for a tag please show us.
For color, please stay clean and simple. We won't use logos that have too many colors.
Final art will most likely be needed in Adobe Illustrator format.
