Dewclaw wants to promote a sustainable and ethically responsible appreciation of wild lands and natural resources. Our mode of conservation is ethical "use" through hunting. Our image should convey an appreciation for the outdoors and an attraction to the ethical and morally consistent act of pursuing whitetail deer. To support our efforts, the business model would be similar to the following companies:

but more "implicit," less "redneck," and more upscale and professional. Not quite, but closer to Rapha (very chic cycling clothing - http://www.rapha.cc/merino-polo-shirt).
We want at least part of our product line to appeal to the young professional to be able to wear a high quality, USA made shirt out to Chilis after work or take his Dewclaw polo out on the golf course or into the office for casual Friday. We do not want to parade redneck virture and we want the opposite end of fashion spectrum from the "Affliction" and "Ed Hardy" crowd.

Early brainstorming drafts utilized the deer track itself to form part of the "W" in DEWCLAW. We had angled the work at 30-45 degrees so the two "W" tracks were staggered to accurately represent the way a deer might walk. We had also considered a logo without the "dewclaw" name. We are open...
