My service must co-exist on many different styles of provider websites, so the logo must balance being distinctive while not clashing with other designs.
This logo should incorporate a distinguishing mark or icon. I will need to be able to use this mark on print media and buttons of various sizes that are clicked on to activate the software. I attached three example buttons that pretend that the dollar sign is the icon just so you can see how it has to work in different scales. (The dollar sign is not a suggestion)
The logo is not the button, but the mark should work in both contexts.
The mark should be indicative of what will happen. A parent will be looking at the website and searching for where to click to pay their tuition, so the mark inside a button should communicate that. They might also see the logo that you will be creating on print media, then when they go to the website it should be obvious that the button corresponds to the logo and the service.
Again, the logo, buttons, and mark will coexist with a wide variety of other websites.
