The prevailing aesthetic for biker tees is black tees with Skulls and Cross Bones. Hell’s Angels and Outlaw Bikers dominate the “look” of biker culture. Much of the artwork is crude (“If you can read this shirt, the bitch fell off”). This does not represent the attitude or spirit of the majority of motorcyclists. Good Biker is a fun alternative to the prevailing genre.
“Good Biker” is a tee shirt company that celebrates and illustrates the positive aspects of motorcycling and motorcycle culture. It’s intended to be quirky – not macho. Fun, not serious. It's intended to take insights from “the ride” and bring them to life in a fun and irreverent graphic that captures the spirit of motorcycling.
This brief is for a black and white logo which has two components. The first component is the “Good Biker” company name which needs a retro font treatment that conveys the fun, quirky, irreverent attitude of the company. The second component is a biker character - called "Good Bike Mike." The character should be riding a motorcycle and should have a retro feel - wearing old school helmet and goggles, and having a big smile like the Life is Good Character (Jake).
The “Good Bike Mike” character should be simple and fun, and have a retro feel to it (like the attached images of the Monopoly man). He should look as though he is enjoying the ride. He should be in Black and White. He should be more masculine than the Life is Good Character....
