Here are some words that I want the logo to communicate, and just some ideas I have:
-the brilliance is found in the simplicity
-I want to be able to tell what it is from a distance if it's on the side of a vehicle
- No cheesy look...I want Professional
- I want print & web-file format
This could possibly be accomplished with just the text and some nifty vector design; this could just be a visual logo with no text (something that I can add the name of my company to, near it), or this could be a logo with a few abbreviating letters incorporated into the image (like sa, or sak)...but if you go with "sak" make the Ak diff. from the s, so it doesn't just read sak, like a sack of potatoes.
One idea I had was using a brown bear and a pine tree with the colors green and brown. I'm starting this in alaska, the tree and bear both speak of strength and boldness, and hey why not. small businesses & service companies are viewed as a base for economy, made up of the meek of the earth, so maybe earth colors like green and brown are appropriate. Definately leaning toward "EARTH COLORS", and I like the idea of a bear and/or a tree in it.
I want a variety of looks as well as different types, if that makes sense.
Feel free to use animal(s), objects, people, unique text, or whatever to communicate with. Remember, it doesn't have to say "service company" with what you create. Ex) If you didn't know what Pepsi was and you just saw the logo on a piece of paper, you would have no idea what it meant. Both the title and the logo do not tell you that it is a soft drink. Do you see my point?
