KnowledgeBeat constructs social learning programs that deliver information and life skills to children in Africa.
See attached overview for more detail.
In short, KnowledgeBeat addresses major challenges such as gender equality and health, through weKNOW programs. Programs bring primary school students together to discuss issues, play games, and learn. The curriculum uses proven social learning (also called non-cognitive or social emotional learning) lessons that build characteristics such as tenacity, empathy, teamwork, and problem-solving - skills that are necessary to survive and thrive, especially in lower-income countries.
Currently KnowledgeBeat is in a growth-stage. We are re-branding, looking to expand outside of Zambia, and evolving our curriculum to tablet and smart phone based apps containing program lessons and integrated feedback mechanisms.
