Early Morning Farms
Early Morning Farms is a family owned business that grows and distributes seasonal products - squash blossoms and chipilin bunches for the specialty markets of Southern California. The locally grown produce is farmed on a ranch in Perris, California. Every morning, with the first call of the rooster, our farmers begin to harvest the delicate bee-pollinated blossoms and bushy herbaceous leaves and prepare them for careful and speedy delivery to the wholesale and retail markets to ensure their freshness.
Squash blossoms are edible raw or they can be incorporated into a variety of recipes including as ingredients in quesadillas, empanadas and other dishes in traditional Latin cuisine. Now-a-days squash blossoms are being used in new and innovative ways across cultures and eating palettes. The flowers contain beta-carotene.

Chipilín leaves are a common leafy vegetable used in Latin American cuisine where they are boiled and served green, dried and used as an herb, or added to tamale dough for color and flavor. The leaves are high in iron, calcium, and beta-carotene.
The produce from Early Morning Farms is not just for Latin Americans who are missing a piece of home, but it is also for everyday families that would like to try something new, healthy, and local. We grow crops that serve both the traditional Latin American markets as well as the emerging untraditional markets for local produce (i.e. farmer’s markets, Whole Foods, etc.).
The product is currently sold in the wholesale market and then resold in retail stores.
The logo should attempt to depict that:
• Produce from the farm is locally grown, fresh and of the highest quality - colors, fonts and imagery should attempt to depict these product attributes.
• Possible, but not required, inclusion of bees (e.g. pollination), roosters (e.g. early morning), and/or squash blossoms and chipilin leaves as visual icons. It should be noted that we produce more than squash blossoms and chipilin leaves, so logo consideration should be not overemphasize these products, but instead focus on the farm as much as possible.
• Possible inclusion of Spanish language in the logo as the name of the business "Temprano en la Manana Finca" or as a tagline "Tempranito en la manana, de nuestros campos a tu mesa!"
• The logo needs to be in a format that is suitable for use on product labels, packaging boxes, letterhead, invoices, business cards, website, e-mail signatures, and other promotional materials.
