A Client of mine runs an Equity Release (financial) company and requires a logo that will exude professionalism but will also instill confidence and comfort for the older generation.

Care Retirement Options are specialists in Equity Release (click here for more info about Equity Release). The target market is the 55 year olds plus who want to release funds from their home. As such, they needed to be treated with respect and care, and Care Retirement Options hand-hold them through every step of the process acting as their personal consultant.
We need the logo to convey lightness and comfort, in-keeping with the improved life of retirement and leisure that we can offer them (without being cheesy). Think along the lines of: At the end of the day, is there anything nicer than sitting in the countryside as the sun sets in the background - and see what this conjures up for your designs. However, I don;t think we actually want sunsets - its more about the feeling :)
Its a bit of a challenge I know. Other successful Equity Release companies such as Hodge use a butterfly or flower etc.
- Must instill confidence and comfort
- Must be simple and professional (without being executive)
- We had thought of greens, yellows and oranges, but this is not set in stone.
- Don't want blues or reds (everyone uses blue!)
- Don't want to be seen as executive or flash
