Datematcher is a Facebook application that helps a matchmaker to match two of his/her friends that he/she thinks can be a potential match.
Datematcher's focus is human matchmaking. The unique part of the concept compared to ordinary online dating services is that it takes its starting point from a matchmaker that sets up his/her friends for dates.
The logo should somehow emphasize the matchmaker or what a matchmaker does - makes people come together.
The application will be clean, fresh and professional. It is supposed to stand out from the cluttered and spammy look of many Facebook applications. The Logo and the icons are supposed to support this professional and clean feeling.
Facebook users primarily in Europe and the US, over 25 yrs since we think that younger people can find other ways for setting up matches.
Both logo and icons is likely one color or possibly two colors two create a clean feeling.
The logo should emphasize the matchmaker or matchmaking - bringing people together.
The logo should combine the professional look of Facebooks own apps and simplicity and clarity. A good exaple is FB Groups application:
The logo will be used in 128x128 on the applications page and on a web page for the application. The logo should also work well in 16x16 pixel size since that size is used for all notifications at Facebook. Logo should be vectorised.
Note that the name of the application will always be written in the default Facebook style, so the logo here is only the graphic icon itself, and should not include the name of the application.
The people that are being matched can send feedback to the matchmaker, and rate the match. The feedback scale is a four state scale which will be portrayed by words and icons together. The scale:
This match currently makes me:
- on fire
Icons can be made in the same manner as the logo but they do not need to be. Logos can also be a clear and fresh interpretation of smiley's, perhaps on different basic colors instead of the yellow base. Icons needs to work really well as 16x16 pixels.
Icons are delivered in color and light grey (which means not chosen).
