Mobcentive (Mob + Incentive = Mobcentive)
Mobcentive (Mob + Incentive = Mobcentive) is a crowd-sourcing and social action platform where large crowds of people come together to make things happen. Specifically, these crowds offer $$$ that are contingent on an event happening (for example, I’ll kick in $20 if Radiohead cuts a new album – total pot is up to $56,000). Ideally, the logo will contain elements of these themes.
The company is focused on all sorts of events – music, entertainment, political, etc, so the logo should not pigeonhole the company and should be broad and flexible.

Primary audience = web-savvy consumers, age 15-39 who frequently use social media and social networking sites
Specific requirements include the ability to show render in color and in black and white and on different color backgrounds. Generally prefer horizontal logos. It would be good if the logo included an element or icon that could stand alone as an icon.
UPDATE: In general, we've had a strong positive reaction to designs that depict the 'c' in Mobcentive as cents, and a negative reaction to designs that incorporate a $ sign
