I am an optometrist in Northwest Ohio. I am 44 years old and I have been practicing for over 16 years. I have two office locations and I am trying to acquire a third office. I practice solo, but need to hire an associate who can become a partner. I am a pretty conservative individual, as I still where a suit and tie to the office. I try to convey (from myself and my employees) a very professional, but family oriented practice. I have been married to my "smokin' hot wife" for over 21 years. We have three children, who are the purpose of my existence. Two boys ages 14 and 7, and a daughter who is 11. I examine patients of all ages, but the vast majority of my patients are moms/dads and their children. I rely on referrals and "word of mouth" to grow my practice, as I do not advertise in the newspaper, yellow pages, or television.
I love my "job", but I do not consider it work. I get to help people use one of the greatest gifts from God, which in turn allows them to be a more productive and independent individual.
I am very proud of my Scottish heritage and am looking to incorporate this into the final logo. I am looking to have the colors of the Brodie clan tartan, shield, and/or crest involved.
I am trying to modernize my office by improving my website and communication with my current and future patients. Health care can be impersonal, but not in my office.
The most important person for me to market is a mother. Usually, a mom will come in for her eye exam to "check things out". If she likes me, my employees, and my office atmosphere, she will then schedule her children and her husband. As stated earlier, I examine patients from a few months to 100 years old, but the majority of my patients are moms and dads from the ages of 25 to 55. I am looking to communicate better with my current patients and obtain new patients who are looking for a very professional, but modern office setting.
As stated earlier, I am looking to incorporate my Scottish heritage into the new logo. I like the colors of the Brodie clan tartan, but realize that plaid is not the most universally looking color. I want someone to show me how to use it and make it look cool. The shield and crest are awesome, but I realize that all cannot be included, as it would be too busy probably. Other than that, I will leave up to the creative people.
