Shiatsu Alice Andexlinger
I am a Shiatsu-Practitioner who is starting her own practice and I am looking for a logo that can be used on printed stock as well as on the web.
Shiatsu (Japanese from shi, meaning finger, and atsu, meaning pressure) is a traditional hands-on therapy (massage) origination in Japan. It is based on western anatomical and physiological theory and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Shiatsu can help individuals to find relaxation and happiness and to be more comfortable with their body in general. At the same time Shiatsu is refreshing and supports the self-healing capability of the human body and it gives individuals new energy and power for their daily lives.
The logo should communicate the above mentioned benefits of Shiatsu to my target audience.
I am looking forward to your submissions and will try to post comments and give feedback as quickly as possible. I am from Austria and my mother tongue is German. Therefore I apologize in advance if the English of my comment isn’t perfect, as the comments won’t be corrected like this text was.
The main target audience are individuals (male and female) between 25 and 55 years old, who care about their health and well-being and are willing to spend some extra money to achieve this.
A focus of my work is to support women during pregnancy and after child birth.
The design of the logo should be clear, memorable and dynamic, with a simple color palette. It should appeal to men and women alike.
Please use a simple color palette (no multicolor overload). The logo must look well in on white and black stock and should also work when printed in b&w on white stock.
True Vector Format (.ai /.eps ) with CMYK color space. Any fonts used must be freely available and should be included in the final download.
The final download must include the logo in 3 variations:
1. Color logo on white canvas
2. Color logo on black canvas
3. B&W logo on white canvas
• Memorable logo with simple color palette
• Modern and dynamic style
• Clip art images/cartoons
• Multicolor overload
• Kitschy logo
• Nameplate only (must have an icon or artwork)
• Someone else’s logo
Until now I have used the Japanese sign chikara, which stands for power, energy and strength, in my logo. The sign is available from the download section and if you want you can use it in your design, however this is NOT A MUST and I am open to any creative ideas that fulfill the above guidelines.
