Come Stefan Johansson ha cominciato il suo viaggio per il design di logo
Small Child Foundation (Swe. 'Lilla barnets fond') is a new Swedish charity organization, for research about newborn infants. Research about the importance of the newborn period, in terms of short and long term health, has been poorly financed during decades. Now, a group of parents, doctors and researchers have decided to set a new agenda à la "Yes we can"! Our goal is a national large-scale fundraising charity, with the ultimate aim of reducing sequalae related to complications during the newborn period, for example after preterm birth.
Che cosa ti ispira e qual è la visione del design della tua attività?
Small Child Foundation (Swe. 'Lilla barnets fond') is an idea that has evolved over several years, among Swedish doctors and researchers working in neonatal (newborn) medicine. Other medical research fields, such as pediatric oncology, have been very successful in public fundraising for research that has translated into important new knowledge for the benefit of patients.
During 2008, a nation-wide group of health professionals and parents with experience of neonatal care founded this new fundraising charity organization, 'Lilla barnets fond'. Our final goal is to become a large fundraising charity that can boost research with financial resources. Naturally, increased knowledge about diseases and complication in newborns, can lead to better treatment and lower risks of sequalae related to complications during the newborn period. One major area where more research is needed is preterm birth, a common pregnancy complication. Other examples of areas where research results will have a positive impact on future health are birth asphyxia, congenital heart malformations, and family-centered nursing care.
The charity organization is not yet officially launched, but we are preparing to announce 'Lilla barnets fond' in April 2009.
The charity has been founded by a dedicated group, working on a voluntary basis. Although our aim is to become an efficient fundraising charity with a large cash flow within ten years, we still fund everything with our private money.
A working group within the foundation is responsible for this logo-competition. This group will only meet on a weekly basis. Feedback will therefore be somewhat sparse.
Once we have chosen a winning design, we will be communicating intensely with the winner, to make the logo look really good!
The winner will need to prepare various versions of the logo (colours, grey-scale, B/W), in psd-files.
- A logotype for the charity 'Lilla barnets fond', which looks good with the color scheme on the web site (http://lillabarnet.se)
The logotype should be printable in color, grey-scale, black/white, and if possible 'in reverse'.
The logo should be a combination of graphics and the text 'Lilla barnets fond' or 'Lilla barnet', but the graphics will also be displayed on its own, without the text.
We look for something with a simple and modern look & feeling. Ideally, the graphical part of the logo could be used for 'pins'.
The 'value words' we want to communicate to the public is
The logotype will be used in print, on business cards and on the web.
We have not yet chosen fonts for info-leaflets etc, but will probably stick to classic and simple fonts like Georgia for normal text, and Verdana for headlines.
