Archipelago Learning is a leader in the e-learning market for K-12 public schools. Our flagship product, Study Island, helps millions of children master instructional concepts in a fun and engaging manner. Like our products, our company is also fun and engaging, and we are passionate about helping teachers, student and parents. We are REBRANDING OUR CURRENT PRODUCT for the high school market as THE ISLAND, and we want a cleaner, fresher, more current logo that will be used in marketing collateral and within the product. It should still be evocative of our tropical theme, but not appear "cartoonish", since high school students expect a more sophisticated appearance for our product.

The Islands e-learning product will be used by student in grades nine through twelve. These students are techno-literate, fashion-conscious, communicate digitally and globally, and the "less is more" philosophy will resonate with them in the look and feel of our new product. Our logo for The Islands should be polished, hip, and convey a stylized tropical feeling.
This logo will be reproduced in literature and used on our web site. We'll also put it on coffee mugs, pencils, key chains, etc, so it must be able to scale up and down without becoming fuzzy or unreadable. It cannot overshadow the content that surrounds it. Our current Study Island logo is cute and younger children like it, but it does not convey the level of sophistication that we believe our high school clients expect to see in products targeting older students. The logo will be featured prominently in the banner at the top of the product, and the color scheme from the logo will be utilized throughout the software.
