business :: Sapphire / website :: sapphirewed.com / events :: Sapphire, a Bridal Party
Weddings Unveiled Austin has operated intimate bridal shows since February, 2009. We connect brides and wedding vendors in a relaxed setting where they can have meaningful conversations. Shows are held roughly once a month at local wedding venues. We currently operate a blog :: blog.weddingsunveiledaustin.com and a website to advertise the events :: weddingsunveiledaustin.com. Our previous logo was self-created, featuring a bride and groom silhouette.
We are now growing the business to include more of a web presence consisting of a social media aspect, marketplace where brides can trade materials and vendor/bride connection service. The site will also be the means for advertising the events which will continue on a regular basis.
Because the name 'Weddings Unveiled' is also a national magazine and used for other regional events, we are changing our name to 'Sapphire'. Each aspect of the company will have a subtitle. For instance, the events may be 'Sapphire, a Bridal Party'.
The business was created by a bride who enjoyed planning her wedding and wanted to help other brides escape the typical stress associated with wedding planning.
As a wedding site, we primarily target Brides who are 20-30 years old.
The logo should also be accessible to Grooms and other members of the Bridal Party.
We appeal to brides who are interested in personalized, unique details.
Our audience is practical, yet classy and sophisticated. In other words, the logo should connote a sense of being upscale without being inaccessible to the general public.
Because our audience is constantly changing as new brides become engaged, the logo should be recognizable.
As stated above, the logo should be:
--classy
--sophisticated
--accessible
--Bridal
--recognizable
I am not interested in anything cartoonish or kitschy. Classic, yet modern is better.
Obviously, working a sapphire into the design may work. It is not necessary, though.
The logo should just include the word 'Sapphire' or create a distinction between 'Sapphire' and 'Wed' since 'Wed' will only be used on the website.
I'd like to be able to use the logo in a variety of ways...on the website, on the gift bags brides receive, on business cards and stationery. I'd also like the ability to add the subtitles myself.
I'm also interested in the possibility of commissioning the winning designer to design the new website and media kit.
