A Loveable Feast
We are a small catering firm, specializing in food that is creative, unique and above all, delicious. The tag line for our business is "Passion - Not a Profession" because we do food because we love it, not because we have to. This is no 9-5 job for us, and we want the company logo to express our love of food and passion for creating amazing events that allow our clients to create connections with their guests. Our food is real - authentic, but not overly fussy. It does express our creativity and whimsy, but it is based on quality ingredients that we allow to really shine.
We often serve food grown on our acre in Northern California. We try to buy organic, sustainable food and we really strive to support small, local suppliers.
Our niche is high-end catering with a personal touch, but not quite at high-end pricing.
We feel it's important to give back, so we donate 10% of all our revenue to charity. It can be the host's pick or we can select the charity. We typically support Contra Costa Interfaith Housing - they provide housing to low-income families dealing with disabilities. Or Stand Against Domestic Violence. We also donate to Heifer International.
Discerning individuals and corporations looking to host an event that is special and unique. We can provide catering services for any event from a down-home BBQ to a formal sit-down dinner. We provide all services for the event, including event management, coordinating rentals, party theme decorations and/or flowers and, of course, the fabulous food.
We need a logo for our small catering business - A Loveable Feast. This logo will be used on business cards and all marketing materials, including our yet-to-be-built web site.
Above all, the logo needs to reflect our creativity & passion for food and events that connect people.
The literary reference to Hemingway's "A Moveable Feast" was not the original impetus for the brand, but once we narrowed in on "A Loveable Feast" as a name, we also instantly felt a connection to the book. "A Moveable Feast" is a collection of essays written by Hemingway about his experiences as an ex-pat in Paris.
We'd like the logo to be icon/graphic based or be a combination of text/icon.
1. Creative with a modern edge.
2. Approachable - nothing too elegant.
3. Text should be strong and clean, nothing frilly.
4. Feel free to experiment with colors.
5. Logo should work on white or black background.
6. No cartoons.
7. No stock images or clip art
8. Try to stay away from forks, knives & spoons - there is a lot of that out there in existing catering company logo's that we saw.
We require a photoshop layered PSD or other layered vector format, as well as a web-ready .jpg file (specific dimensions determined once winner’s logo is chosen)
