Our audience is culturally savvy with business interests in art and culture. We need to convey the idea that we provide services that link China and the rest of the world.
The company owner insists that there be a "phoenix" element in the logo. It need not be too literal if it makes the logo look tacky or complicated, however the phoenix is an important mythological creature in China and she would like that to be incorporated (please see attached images).
Since "Meridian" means "circle, globe, apex, zenith", the logo should have a sphere/global element along with a phoenix. Some suggestions would be to make the phoenix into what looks like the world, or have it encircle the world, or use its wings/tail feathers... one key thing is to not make the phoenix look like a chicken (ha). Seriously, please do not, otherwise we will not pick your logo! Thank you.
