RateBrain.com
RateBrain was created by a small team of former Google employees to provide easy access to the latest rate quotes from financial institutions, with free alerts that let you know when a rate has changed.
RateBrain is a totally independent site. We made it easy to use because we’re sick of complicated financial news sites that make it hard to do what you really want to do: Track and access the best available rates for CDs, savings and checking accounts. No strings attached, and no advanced finance degree needed.
The average american consumer who is saving more than ever, and is trying to maximize their savings return.
We want to "clear the noise" for this consumer, as compared to the incumbents who provide this info on the web today.
Other, more trafficked rate sites are cluttered with multi-step wizards, tons of intrusive ads, etc. These sites also do a lot of "pay for placement" where they mix paid rates at the top of the rate lists, when those often times are not the best rates.
They also don't have a comprehensive set of rates as we think RateBrain has, and RateBrain also aims to update rates daily.
We are looking for a logo for our main web site, as well as any print advertising we may do in the future.
We would love to have the logo incorporate the following concepts (where possible)
(1) simple, easy, fast (to find a rate)
(2) consumer gaining wealth/money (right now we have an up-and-to-the-right arrow on http://ratebrain.com)
(3) empowering the consumer with information
(4) speed/freshness - we update rates daily.
I know it will be tough to try to convey all of that in one logo, but I thought I would be as detailed as possible in my description anyways :)
Capitalization: right now it is RateBrain on the site, but we are open to "ratebrain" and "Ratebrain" as well if it makes sense
Vertical/Horizontal proportion: Would prefer the logo to be much wider than taller to save vertical space
Please do *not* include the ".com" in the logo unless you think it is necessary for your proposal.
Clean, simple, bold typestyle. Nothing too fancy please :)
Please feel free to experiment with different color schemes, different color depths within the word (where the first part of the word is a different color than the rest)
