We're looking a logo that includes:
• The abbreviation of the organization (CAPIC) (note that there are no periods between the letters). This should be the most prominent part of the logo.
• The full name of the organization (California Psychology Internship Council) should be included, but should be less prominent than the abbreviation.
The symbol for psychology is the greek letter Psi ( ψ ). We do *not* want this used in the logo, please, because so many other psychology-related organizations use it. As an example of what we would like to avoid, see the logo at http://www.appic.org/index.html .
Instead, we'd like the logo to feel more personal. If it's possible to incorporate people -- whether heads, hands, upper bodies, etc. -- then that would be ideal. The people can be stylized and don't have to look realistic; if people are used, they should reflect ethnic and gender diversity. We will consider images that do not include people in this way but would prefer ones that do.
Ideally, we'd like to use this logo both for our web presence (http://www.capic.net) and for letterhead. If possible, we would also like a copy of the logo using an alpha channel. We would need color and grayscale .jpgs for the web, and in whatever file format is most attractive for letterhead.
