We are creating a civic campaign in Panama to promote the use of carseats for babies and children. Currently a very small percentage of drivers use any protection for the children, the current law even says it is safe if an adult holds the baby in her arms (this baby will probably die in a serious accident if held in hands).
I need this logo to be almost self explanatory, so we can make a bumper sticker out of it and have all resposible parents to have it in their car. Hopefully that same logo will be used in everything related to the campaign. I am imagining a carseat with a child in it, drawn in a way that is very simple, like a traffic sign.
"Mi pelao bien cuidao" is panamanian slang for "My child is safe". the term pela'o actually refers to a kid, so older than 3 years old. We did this on purpose because currently most people in Panama think carseats are only for newborns, so the few that buy carseats because they think its important, they only buy the first one and as soon as the child can sit down by himself they take out the carseat.
We want them to know a child should be protected until they are around 12.
