My Web Brain (http://www.mywebbrain.com)
My Web Brain is a start-up site developed by my company, Helium 3 IT Solutions. Helium 3 IT Solutions is one-man company from Australia focusing on agile, open and transparent development with a desire to make a name in products that use collective or artificial intelligence techniques.
My Web Brain is a tool to support the popular 'Get Things Done' (GTD) methodology for time management. GTD (and the site) focuses on easy collection of thoughts and later batch processing into next actions, reference items and someday/maybe items. Users primarily process tasks into next actions, so the site has similiarities with todo list management applications.
My Web Brain is targeted primarily at users with an experience in GTD looking for a tool that suits their requirements. Many users of the methodology use pen and paper, their email inbox or online task list sites like http://www.toodledo.com/.
GTD can be used by anyone but is most popular amongst professionals
Design a simple, abstract logo for My Web Brain. A distinctive and attractive design is required.
Thematic keywords that could be inspired by the logo include: simple, productive, achievement, thought into action, a feeling of being in control, success, management of different domains (eg. Home, work, study).
The logo should not include stock photography. Any entrant will be considered on its merits, but previously considered concepts have included logos with nice gradients, light or 3D effects for a 'Web 2.0' appeal. Do not show a human brain in any great detail, but stylised, simplified or machine-likes intepretations (eg. 2 hemispheres) would be OK. No tick marks.
The logo is intended to be placed in the upper left corner of the http://www.mywebbrain.com site (in the banner). Designing for this location is a high priority. Coloring that matches, complements, or contracts nicely with the existing site colours is required.
The logo is expected to appear elsewhere on light and dark backgrounds. If this is not possible with the one logo, please provide 2 versions.
The logo is expected to be scaled down and used as a favicon image for the website. The design needs to be simple enough to allow this. If in doubt, provision of a simpler appropriately sized graphic is acceptable.
The logo should be provided in a native vector graphics format (.ai or fireworks .png).
Simple is good!
