This logo is for a start-up company that will organize and arrange for necessary services to close up, empty, prepare for sale/rent, a home when it is vacated due to death, illness or other possible reasons.
People will often use this service if they live in, let's say, New York, and a retired parent or sibling in Florida passes away.

Children of elderly parents. Siblings of elderly people. The target audience will be about 60-70 years old. The service may also be used by elderly spouses who may be 80-100 years old.
Strong, reassuring colors. I'm thinking browns and golds may work, but if you have better ideas go for it. Logo should be serious, classic, and text based. It needs to be based around the initials LDS (long distance solution). There must be some element that indicates we work with homes and possibly that we care and are trustworthy. Please don't forget this design should be aimed at the elderly.
