The logo needs to be professional. It will be used for an educational portal to be used primarily by parents.

I like the colors, fonts & overall design on this site but not the logo: https://www.varsitytutors.com/calculus-tutoring
Bonus points if you can incorporate an American Shorthair Orange cat or a Brindle English Bulldog into the logo design! We love our pets, but this is not mandatory.
If we go with a cat or bulldog cartoon, we want it to look studious and wise, like a wise tutor or mentor.
Here are some orange cats that look like ours:
Here's a bulldog that looks like our Brindle-colored English Bulldog:
Here's a wise-looking orange cat for some inspiration. This one has long hair, we prefer short-haired.:
And here's a bulldog studying that also fits what we're going for:
I've been googling "English bulldog studying" and "orange cat studying" for inspiration.
Thanks for the submissions, everyone! I love some of the submissions I've seen.
I really want our name to be in the logo. ACE Tutoring. I like some of the creamy orange-yellow colors submitted so far. Definitely soft and warm tones are what we're going for. Like a calm cafe or study area would have.
Some thoughts on making the animal look smart: a graduation cap, a pair of glasses or an argyle sweater or collar are all some good directions to go. I'll be honest, I've seen some good cats & one great bulldog and now I'm really inclined to pick a logo with one of these animals. I'd be open to suggestions of other animals but I'm very likely to pick one with a bulldog or a cat.
I've guaranteed the prize since I've seen some great work so far!
It's looking like creamy orange colors (for the cat logos) and soft lines & font for all logos are what we're going for. For an accent color, I'd love a robins egg blue or something close if it's possible.
Don't get hung up on making the cartoon bulldog or orange cat too detailed. I'm a fan of the softer, friendly comic-like cat you'd see in Pusheen or Neko Atsume, not overly-detailed drawings.
