3 adjectives to describe the brand: clever, curious, carefree. The brand aesthetic is 'elevated whimsy' - feeling most at home on a wooded dirt road in Wyoming but also comfortable in a Paris Michelin star restaurant (it would probably stand out but in a good way).
The idea of animal as 'mascot' in the logo would be interesting to explore. Some kind of bird seems appropriate but open to suggestions. Something that denotes adventure and exploration and escaping the bounds of a human's reality. It should feel like this animal is free to go anywhere it wanted to and when it got there it would see the most incredible things.
Logo will be used in traditional digital and paper mediums including greeting cards and post cards. Logo should also be appropriate for a low profile and memorable copyright on digital and paper prints.
** added Jan. 4 midway through the submission period: I'm finding myself more attracted to vintage designs vs. the modern. These also seem to work better sitting along side my photography. Designs should not be too literal (e.g. camera lens) unless its very, very clever and should convey how it would FEEL to: be on a road trip, take a trip to the moon, walk in the streets of Paris for the first time or fly in a small airplane at night in the stars. Consider strongly how the image works with the name in text - they should connect or be intertwined. Lastly, think about how the logo would work in some less traditional mediums - e.g. as fabric, a Christmas ornament, copyright stamp. It should be impactful and stand on its own without the company name in text.
