Code Fanatics is a web development and consultation company based in Chester, UK. We’re just starting out with a new brand building process which includes a new website and delving into social networks such as facebook and twitter.
Ranging from technically minded people reading the company development blog to potential clients, the logo should be understandable by and suitable to all. All markets should see from the logo we're FANATICAL about code.
For the mean time, the logo’s primary purpose will be on the website acting as a portfolio of our work but in the future will be used for typical business operation such as business cards, advertisement etc.
I’m more than open to any ideas you have. I want the logo to really stand out on the web page and be memorable; the rest of it will feature a rather minimalist design.
The logo must still be up to date in years to come, avoid cliché techniques such as Web 2.0 gradients.
The logo must be readable and attractive at both small and large sizes.
The logo must be clear, strong and modern.
The logo must look professional and trustworthy.
The logo must be supplied as an Illustrator or Photoshop file or similar format allowing full editorial control.
Do not use stock images, clipart, photographs or anything else of a similar ruse.
I had the idea for an illustration or depiction to go along with the text on the logo of your stereotypical geek with messed up hair and glasses, looking fanatical. This would still need to maintain an air of professionalism though. I’d love to see a wide range of ideas though, I’m no designer so don’t feel you have to follow my idea!
