SilverStream is a small startup company that currently provides sales and marketing consulting services under multiple brands or banners. In the future we will also publish information products, again under different brands or imprints.
I like lean and spare designs influenced by Japanese and Scandinavian esthetics. "Elegant simplicity" probably best describes the look I most love, but I don't want anything that looks cold or impersonal. I want to suggest growth potential through organic and curvilinear forms that imply closeness to nature. They should look strong and not overly feminine. Dynamic asymmetry appeals to me.

My target market is established small businesses that want to look larger than they are and that are eager to grow. I want my design to appeal to them for its sophistication, but I don't want it to put off any of my target audience by appearing to be remote, distant or overly refined.
I want a simple, clean logo I can use both independent of my company name (SilverStream LLC) and also in conjunction with it. The logo will appear on business stationery (especially business cards), on covers of print publications, on jackets and labels for multimedia materials, video titles, Web sites, etc.
The logo must be able to scale well from small to very large versions (projected onto screens or blown up on signage and banners). I want to be able to use it in multiple alternative color versions, but I don't want the elements of the logo to consist of more than two colors. I want to keep printing costs low.
I will need the logo provided in multiple digital formats for all the normal intended uses.
