We are a couple with 15 -20 years each in our respective domains. He has a strong business, turnaround & tech background and she has built a strong business as a master sommelier by buying and selling for private collectors. Together, we are pursuing our dream of providing the world with access to many of the finer things typically not available to most in the areas of wine, travel, and other fine luxuries.
Successful/professional people of all levels. Our target audience will be individuals who have enough discretionary income and interest to enjoy purchasing wine, spirits, unique travel (not necessarily exotic), and value knowledge, first hand experience, and purchasing items which have a story/history related to them. This audience is always in pursuit of new things to enjoy without b.s. of elitism. As a couple, we will be building a rapid following of existing friends, clients, colleagues who are professionals.
To help here, some further explanation of our name, 2LushCru.
The 2 is for the two of us.
The "Lush" is for luxurious (described by dictionary.com as 'characterized by luxuriousness, opulence, etc') and also a play on the alcohol related connotation of "lush." A major focus for us will be visiting wines and reviewing rare wines and spirits onsite, but we will not be solely focused on alcohol.
The "Cru" is derived from the French use of the term in relation to "class" of wine, such as grand or premier cru. In this case it is worked in to mean best of the best.
Summarized, the name is meant to describe the two of us as pursuing the best of the best things to make life lush for our followers.
We are seeking a logo that is crisp and clean looking and which matches the audience we have. We want to be sure it is something not easily trivialized but also not too stodgy. We want to appeal to our rich and famous friends as well as the working professional who is interested in what we are doing.
We would like the final deliverable to include versions in .ai, jpg, and png for Web and print mediums. The initial logo will be used on business cards, the Web site, and in videos.
