We’re a software development company. We are currently building a website for a new client. They undertake surveys with various companies to help those companies measure the level of the "engagement" of their staff (e.g. how happy and interested their staff are with work).
The client serves corporate customers so the look needs to be professional. Having said that, they use a more of a fun / relaxed / funky corporate presence than most, and we want to extend that feeling through their printed reports.
The 'engagement' level for a company is stored as percentage. For example, if a company's engagement score was 87% that would show very high engagement (e.g. happy, motivated staff). Similarly, a score of 22% would show bored, disengaged, unhappy staff
Rather than showing a standard graph for this scale, we want something more interesting; a consistent set of icons or graphics to represent these levels of engagement or job satisfaction
While the engagement number is the underlying metric, this can be rounded for the purposes of the graphic (eg. 52% & 58% are both in the 50-60% band and can use the same icon)
Some ideas:
a) A thermometer in the 9 different states up the scale (perhaps with different colours to highlight the different states)
b) A horizontal scale showing an unhappy face at one end and a happy face at the other, with a happy/sad face in the middle indicating where on the scale the company is.
c) Characters sitting on a scale looking bored and depressed at one end and happy and excited at the other.
The client is looking for some creative options to show these levels of 'engagement'. Stylistically, the client’s corporate feel is akin to that presented by the Virgin Group or the Australian phone company “3”.
We require high resolution (300dpi) layered PSD files or Illustrator AI or EPS files. Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the graphic.
