The logo is already complete; we just need the product labels for our packaging. The labels should revolve around our current logo. The label size is 4" height and will wrap around the plastic container, probably 11-12" wide and will need to taper down slightly to fit the deli container without going on crooked. These will be going on different size containers and packages. The most important containers for them to fit on are our clear, plastic deli containers with lids. If you click on this link, you can see what they look like: http://plasticcontainercity.com/32-. We may need a wrap around label that is larger to fit all of the info, so it may be longer. The type of protein for this mix is "Beef". We have many different raw blends, but we will start with one (beef) to see if we like the design. Here is an example of a company whose label I like: http://www.primalpetfoods.com/product/list/c/7 and here is another one: http://www.petsupplies.com/item/nat
In addition to having all of the legal parts correct on this design, we also want it to pop out to the consumer and stand out against other dog food companies to entice people enough to give it a try. I want it to be modern, hip, fresh, clean, and unique. It is important to tap into the health conscious pet owner. Terms that should be highlighted are: "wholesome", "all natural", "grass-fed", "pastured", antibiotic, steroid, and hormone free" "local", "farm fresh", "100% grain free", "no preservatives, grain, or gluten", "no fillers" - terms that appeal to the health conscious and educated pet caretaker. We use only top quality ingredients that focus on animal wellness and nutrition. Please include the phrase "Proudly Made in the USA!" on the label with an American flag emblem.
It is important that there is a lot of information without looking cluttered. The information that needs to be on the label, so leave space for (The below numbers are for our beef blend only as we will have many different types, but use this as the sample guide): Have the term: "Nutrition for Dogs & Cats of All Life Stages" above the Guaranteed Analysis.
Crude Protein (Min) 15%
Crude Fat (Min) 10%
Crude Fiber (Max) 1%
Moisture (Max) 74%
Beef, Beef Heart, Beef Organs (liver, kidney, spleen, pancreas) Ground Beef Bone
Feeding Directions: Feed 2% - 4% of pet's ideal, adult body weight daily. For intermittent or supplemental feeding only. It is essential to feed a variety of different raw proteins to ensure the maximum amount of vitamins and minerals are fed that are present in the components of a raw diet. Feed as part of a Prey Model Raw (PMR) diet, based on 80% meat, 10% organ meat (5% liver, 5% other organs), and 10% edible bone.
Please add a seal OR use the icon in some way and put PMR in the center
(like a guarantee or stamp of approval) and circling around PMR it has
this text "Prey Model Raw" "80% Meat" "10% Organs" "10% Edible
Bone". This should be on the front of the label so that customers know
the break down of meat/organ/bone.
An alternative to the "PMR" seal could be to make the "beef mix" banner
thicker, but have the bottom part not black (not sure if the red or dark
grey will look better) and put "80% Boneless Beef", then next section
"10% Beef Organs (of which 5% is Beef Liver)" then final section "10%
Beef Bone" Please refer to the dog and cat symbol attachment to see what
I mean. The layout would be similar - see where it says "Duck Formula"
and has the percentages right below

Net Wt: 2 lbs (.9 kgs)
Please leave room for a bar code.
In small print "Not for human food" should be on there...more of a side note and should not be highlighted at all.
I am also adding a "feeding chart" on the label so that people have a guideline of how much to feed for what weight of their pet. Please put a sample recommended feeding chart on the label. Here is the additional information that should go in the space below the
recommended feeding chart. If it does not fit well, please let me know.
I would really like all of this info on there, but if it appears to
squished, I could possibly shorten it.
"The above percentages are based on your pet's ideal, adult weight.
For pets over 100 lbs, start at 2% of their body weight. Miniature to
small breeds and most cats need to start at a higher percentage than
medium to large breeds. Pregnant and lactating pets also need an
increase throughout gestation and lactation. They may need as much as 6%
- 10%. Feed puppies 2% - 4% of their expected, ADULT weight. An 8 lb
adult cat may require as much as 8 ounces per day (6%). Kittens may eat
as much as 1 lb (16 oz) per day. You are there with your pet, so pay
attention and adjust the diet accordingly. This is simply a starting
point and guide."

I also attached a couple of photos of animals and raw meat if you want to play around with those.
