Come artarmon42 ha cominciato il suo viaggio per il design di carta intestata
This is an opportunity to create a very cool logo and business card!
Cards will be printed on clear (see-through) plastic which will will allow for another degree of freedom in your design.
Che cosa ti ispira e qual è la visione del design della tua attività?
The logo and name of the company is "Searchlight Systems".
We do Internet design, development & marketing. "Searchlight" implies looking for the right technologies/ideas and putting a spotlight/focus on them.
My initial thoughts are that the design should use graphical elements such as spotlight or other lighting effects. A strong bold font/layout like the "20th Century Fox" logo might be something you consider using (although this is not a requirement).
My name is very short (Xxx Xx), so the business card design must not look weird with a short name.
I'd like a Web 2.0 style logo (reflective & color gradients). I'd like one of the primary colors to be based on HTML color code: #c14977. I'm open to additional complimentary colors of your choosing.
The unique aspect of the design (the thing that should catch the eye) is that I'll be printing this on clear plastic (http://www.alltimeprint.com/pvc1/pvc_clear.php). The fact that the name has "searchlight" in it, should allow you to create some interesting "lighting effects" by leveraging the clear plastic.
While this contest is primarily for a business card design, I will also be using the logo on the web and printed on paper. So if your card design uses a logo reliant on transparency, YOU MIGHT NEED TO CREATE ANOTHER VERSION that is viewable on a solid white background.
Winner will need to provide:
- Layered Photoshop file (PSD)
- Any fonts used in the design (e.g. so that I can create business cards with different names and job titles)
While your design can incorporate "beams of light", do not include actual lighting equipment in the logo (including but not limited to searchlights, spotlights, cinema lighting equipment, stage lighting equipment or lightbulbs).
The name "Searchlight Systems" should be clearly seen in the design. Any graphical elements ("beams of light" or other designs) should draw the viewers eyes TO the name, not away from it.
