PowWows.com
PowWows.com is a Native American community featuring forums, articles, Pow Wow calendar, photo gallery, videos and more.
Native American
Students and Teachers
The contest is for our front page and a template to use on the secondary pages. The secondary page design should include header, footer, side columns (if in your design) so that our content can be inserted into the body of the template. We use several 3rd party programs such as vBulletin, WordPress, PhotoPost. So keep that in mind.
We are moving more towards WordPress. The frontpage, articles, and calendar are being migrated to Wordpress.
We are looking for a more slick, up to date, Web 2.0 design. We are open to colors. But the site needs to have a Native American flair.
The goal of this contest it create a design that is more user friendly, more social integration and places to highlight our content. Our site is pretty large and need better organization and layout to get users to visit all the part of our site.
The organization of the site into Pow Wow Calendar, Pow Wow Photos, Videos, etc can be reorganized if you have a better way to do it.
We are excited to see your creativity. Show us something new and fresh!

Page one is our home page. This page should highlight as much of our content as possible in a better layout than we have now.
Second page is for the rest of our content. Please include methods for including our content like related articles, recent comments, recent posts, facebook, videos, photos, upcoming Pow Wows, etc.
We would like to continue to use these type of images in the design. You can change the colors, size, etc.

Like their slideshow. Does a good job of highlighting different part of their site. Secondary pages have a nice layout to again highlight lots of content.
