Nutrition site for pediatricians

We're recording a series of webcasts given by expert pediatricians on the topic of nutrition in gastro-related diseases. This new site, nutritionForPeds.com, is for doctors to view our presentations after they've been broadcast.

Pediatricians. We'd like the site, especially the homepage, to be recognizable as a site for pediatricians. (doctors + kids)

The trickiest part to the design of this site is the issue of sparse content. We'll initially have two archived webcasts, with three more scheduled. There will be a lot of room for background designs and illustrations or photos.

~~~ color and visual theme ~~~
The pediatricians giving the presentations are leaders in their fields and are 100% free to say what they want. However, we've decided to thank the sponsor by making visual ties to their portfolio and branding, such as colors and design theme.

We'd like the primary color palette to match those of the attached "colorsShouldSomewhatMatchTheseSlides.jpg"

The main visual theme should be somewhat associated to the attached examples:

There will be a lot of space for photos or illustrations, especially on the homepage. We're open to using stock photos (that are not too cheesy) and/or illustrations.

If illustrations are included, one possible direction would be to draw in the style of the attached examples. (See illustration-example1.png and illustration-example2.png) Not a requirement, but one possible direction.

We created first-draft wireframes for the Homepage and Detail pages. They're our attempt to get the idea across with somewhat realistic first-draft content. We're certainly open to other layouts if inspiration tells you something different.
