OnlinePAF.com collects information that is required by the United States Postal Service, prior to us providing our services to our customers.
This site will be viewed by others in the direct mail and direct marketing business.
The site should be simple to use and understand.
We have to collect this information from our users, and that is the only purpose of this site. We are not trying to overload them with other distracting elements.
From the users point of view there will be 4 or 5 pages that they will interact with, in a step by step sequence each visit.
They will arrive to the site via a web link that will be sent to them via e-mail. This web link is specific to each recipient, so they will "automatically" be logged into the site just by clicking on the link.
The first question that they will be asked is if they are representing a company that we have previously done business with, or if they need to setup a new company record.
Then they are asked a question that has one out of 4 possible answers. The answer will determine which page they are taken to next.
If they are a List owner, then we collect/verify their name and mailing address information. They must "sign" the form by typing in their first and last name, and agreeing to a terms and conditions box.
If the are a Broker or a List Administrator, they are taken to a different page than the List owner. Most of the information is the same, expect they do not have to agree to the terms and conditions. Some users can log in to search.
I have provided sample screen shots of what this process looks like today. It is very basic, very boring and very ugly :-)
The purpose of this contest is to put some lipstick on this pig and make it look professional :-)
Previously we held a logo contest on 99designs.com to create a logo for the OnlinePAF.com site.
This is the logo that will be used and can be downloaded here.
You are not required to use the tag line, in fact I prefer the logo without it.
We will also have a McAfee Secure button that will be placed on the site dynamically updated everyday. I have included two sample sizes that you can place on the mock up.
We also use LivePerson for chatting with users when/if they have any questions or problems while on the site. A sample button can be seen in the sample ZIP file I have posted. This button can be any shape or size that you design. It has three possible "states" that we need to design.
1. Chat is online and available
2. Chat is temporarily offline
3. Chat is offline (after hours). Our hours are 9:00 to 5:00 EST.
Remember, overall the site should be simple and easy to use. We are asking very basic questions and would like our users to be able to get in, and get done quickly. The site should not be intimidating.
