We hope to appeal to diverse lunch crowd from young suits & govvies, to bike couriers & ... Location is adjacent to a park, which is a popular festival & concert ... Background It is an exciting time in the Ottawa (Canada) food scene right now! More street food diversity is finally getting a chance to thrive in the city with... new food carts being allowed to launch this summer (see article link). I am looking to use this logo as part of a Crowd Funding initiative to support my Food Cart business which I hope will be the first of other iterations of the brand (more on this below). ... Business Gongfu is a street food ... My current project is a street food cart (not unlike a hotdog cart) but serving bao (steamed buns) with various (not necessarily Chinese/Asian) ... While bao are of Chinese origin, they will be acting as a medium for a variety of cuisine ... The Chinese origin will definitely be acknowledged by many filling offerings that are traditionally at home in a steam bun, but ethnicity will not be a limiting ... This could reflect in the design by acknowledging & representing the Chinese origins, but not letting the ethnic theme dominate (hence my attraction to the Westernized Bruce Lee jump suit & funky...s Hongkong kungfu cinema). I also plan to run pop-up food events & ... While initially bao will be Gongfu's main offering, I plan to also offer a variety of related street food dishes (noodles, chuanr , dumplings, rice bowls, congee). I hope to carry the brand forward to a food truck in the future, and serve a wider variety of dishes of Chinese street food origin (bao, noodles, chuanr, dumplings, rice bowls, congee). A brick & mortar manifestation isn't out of the question, but I'm mostly keen on STREET street food right ... The brand's menu choices will always favor use of locally sourced and fresh ... Menu 3 Bao styles: - traditional steamed bao with pleated top - steamed folded "gua bao" - seared Shanghai "(sheng)jian bao" Bao filling examples(will rotate selection of 3 at a time): 1) maple berkshire cha siu (bao), 2) 4-pepper short rib & onion (bao), 3) kaoye tofu & yam (gua bao), 4) BLT (gua bao), 5) shaoxing pulled pork (jian bao), 6) "shanghai grilled cheese" (jian bao) -- see picture link below!
