"Graubünden Brass" is a elite section Brass Band. The Band is based in the alpine region of Graubünden in Switzerland. The Band is known for its innovative Concerts but also for its participation in national and international Contests.

In 1992 the formation was founded as "Brass Band Sursilvana". The ensemble with its amateur and professional musicians has since then established itself as a major player in the Swiss Brass Band movement. Since 2018 the Band plays in the Elite Section of the Swiss Brass Band Association. In 2021 the Band changes the name to "Graubünden Brass". Graubünden is the name of the famous alpine region in the southeast of Switzerland and the place where the musicians of the band come from. The musicians are at home in the valleys and districts of Graubünden, to live their passion they come together from the large region. Three languages are spoken in the region - Swiss German, Romansh, Italian (name of the region in the three languages: Graubünden, Grischun, Grigione). The abbreviation for Graubünden is "GR" or "gr", the abbreviation is the same in all languages and in this sense neutral. The cultural and linguistic diversity of the band should be recognizable in the brand. The heraldic animal of the region is the capricorn. If possible, the new logo should be designed in the style of a "flat design". The logo should be able to be applied in color, black/white, on a white background, on a black background and as a stamp.
