Create a SUPERHERO Costume!

BadRad Studios creates fun and exciting video games for computer and mobile platforms. We are working on a new untitled game about superheroes stopping an invasion of Earth from another an advanced version of humans from another dimension (I know, it sounds like it's been done before, but the fun is in the details and gameplay :) This is the first contest in a number of contests for this project so stay tuned for others as we need quite a few designs done.

As part of the game backstory, when a portal is created between dimensions it emits radiation so anyone going through the portal needs to wear a special protective suit. This includes scientists as well as soldiers for the invasion. The suits will also be modified and used by the superheroes fighting the invasion later in the story so we need a cool-looking, radiation costume/suit design that can be adapted to fit different uses. The suit includes gloves and boots plus a helmet that appears when needed sort of like Starlord's helmet from Guardians of the Galaxy (Just to clarify, I didn't mean that the helmets should look like Starlord's. I just meant that they appear like his does in the movies. The helmets should be sleek, full head helmets).

While we are going to need 3 versions of this suit, for this contest we are focusing on the superhero version. We will then work with the winner on a 1-to-1 project for the other versions.

For the superhero version, it should be designed with the ability to have different color variations and superhero logo/symbol somewhere on the suit.

We need both a male and female version of the suit.

Since there are child superheroes in this game we want to make sure the female version of the superhero suit is not overly sexy and objectifying. If you could figure out a way to incorporate a skirt or something like that it'd be great. I hope this request doesn't offend anyone. That is not the intent, obviously. We just want to make sure we have the option to add it if necessary for our target audience.

Note: We aren't looking for a big, bulky, futuristic metal suit. This should be a balance between a practical, tactical radiation suit and a good-looking superhero costume. I realize that might be tricky but that's why I'm looking to you for imaginative ideas.

PPS. Ok... I did more research on what I really am looking for and I think it's the Captain Marvel/Wasp/Antman type of look. Almost a mix of superhero and motorcycle gear. Plus the padding and lines gives the opportunity to use different colors for the different versions in the future 1-to-1 project. See the new attached images.

Also, you can see in some of the wasp images the beginnings of what a skirt can look like too. Not necessarily a skirt but almost armour.

I am hesitant to post any images of costume ideas because I don't want to influence your design but since I asked to incorporate a version with a skirt, which I realize may not be easy for a radiation suit, I saw some drawings online that have a style that may work. I've also added the male version for reference. Please don't let this influence your design direction though.

Also, I'm not overly concerned with art style right now, more just of the actual suit designs, but the art style of the game is similar to the art style Chrissie Zullo uses. See some samples attached.
