I represented time with the inverted sublte Big Ben clock, it flows into the lights of the city and then the lights up the girl, which becomes the quantum time travelling energy where she finds herself in Florence.
I kept the design interesting and symbolic but subtle.
I used a Future style font for the title and a Script font for the name, to show this duality in different times.")

The imagery is a basic unicorn juxtaposed with my illustration of the fiery energy of a gargoyle.
I carefully selected the colours which are modern that would draw in a young reader in their teens. I went in this direction because I wanted to create something new for you to build off of as the world unravels.
I used a combination of a classic Serif Title font as well as a more modern Bold font, to drive home this message of the mix of the classic fairy tale and urban modernity.")
